Housing
TKE chapter housing varies tremendously based on campus, ranging from the traditional chapter house owned by a local housing corporation, to the Greek cooperative operated by the university.Fraternity housing can be a great asset to any chapter and help to enhance the fraternal experience. Having a house comes with great fun and great responsibility. Among the responsibilities are insurance, general upkeep of house, keeping the house up to fire code standards and periodic renovations. A well run house can be a great way for men to learn the responsibility of owning a home for themselves as well as a great way to bond with brothers.
The Fraternity is a member of the Capital Fraternal Caucus, which is the collaborative effort of fraternities and sororities in the the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) that is working with Congress to keep Greek issues a priority. Of particular interest is the Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act.
Emphasizing the importance of housing in TKE, we have appointed Don Aldrich as our new Housing Coordinator. Any additional resources needed along with questions can be directed to him.
